Now that the Lamborghini Huracan has replaced the Gallardo it was just a matter of time before we saw a Huracan based Super Trofeo racer. Lamborghini racing drivers Fabio Babini and Adrian Zaugg have been drafted by the Lamborghini design team as development consultants on the Huracan Super Trofeo. Zauff is a Lamborghini factory driver, while Babini is a GT racer and a class winner at the 2001 Le Mans.
Expect the Huracan Super Trofeo to be a stripped-out and race tuned variant of the road-going Huracan. Other extras that are expected to be standard on the Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo include upgraded brakes, lowered suspension and an extreme aerodynamic body kit. Power for the Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo will still be the standard 602 hp 5.2-liter V10 mated to a sequential gearbox instead of the dual-clutch system.
